Preparing for Thanksgiving

I have been thinking alot of Thanksgiving.  My favorite part is cooking it, since I fix it myself I have full control over it.  I plan on fixing just small portions of the foods I like.  I will fix larger amounts of what I don’t like.  I plan on eating sensible, what my hardest part is eating throughout the day.  This year that has changed, I will eat lunch and supper.  I’m going to try and substitute with fat-free items.  And, exercise will be a part of my day also.  We shouldn’t forget about spending time with our companion (exercise).  If I know I can make all the right choices I know all my buddies can.

Colder Weather

Colder weather keeps me in doors more often and just laying around to stay warm.  Tomorrow we will finish getting the house ready for the cold weather that is already here in Iowa.  But, this year is going to be different, there is no way of letting myself down.  When I get off work, it will be stopping by the YMCA for excercise and then home for a sensible dinner and more excercise before the night is over.  I hope nobody else lets winter get in there way either.  Just think the few months of winter, then Spring is here, we all want to look great for Spring.

The co-op at work

Just wanted everyone to know, I did real well today at work.  The co-op there were lots of food there.  Actually I did real well.  I had small helpings of 2 soups and somebody brought some nutrisystem chips.

Asparagus

My favorite recipe for asparagus is simple.  Fresh asparagus, let rinse for a few hours in cold water,until soft.  Spray a pan or glass baking dish with olive oil.  Lay the asparagus out in the bottom and sprinkle garlic salt or powder and onion salt or powder over the top.  Let bake for about 30-45min. in oven set at 350-375F.  This is so good.

New

Today is my first day, to this sight.  Like many others I’m one that needs a buddy to get started.  At, times I feel like I could had done better.  Like now I feel as if I should had lost more lbs, since I started.  So anybody that is willing to keep me motivated, please help me, I’m open to suggestions.  For my health I need to loose.
